Services
Our services include:
At ABC Kids pediatrics, we provide a comprehensive range of preventive healthcare services for children and families, which is great for promoting overall health and well-being.
- Prenatal Bootcamps: These are likely educational sessions aimed at preparing expecting parents for the birth of their baby. Topics might include infant care basics, breastfeeding tips, and understanding common prenatal and postnatal concerns.
- Newborn Visits: Early checkups for newborns are essential to monitor their growth and development, assess feeding habits, and catch any potential health issues early on. These visits may also include immunizations and guidance on how to care for a newborn.
- Well-Check Visits: Routine well-child visits are important for monitoring the growth and development of children, starting from infancy through adolescence. At ABC Kids Pediatrics, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics Schedule of Well Child Exam Visits, and adhere to the Bright Futures guidelines to ensure your child is growing, healthy, and thriving. These visits typically include physical exams, vaccinations, developmental screenings, and guidance on nutrition, safety, and behavioral health.
At ABC Kids Pediatrics, our top priority is the health and well-being of your child. We are committed to providing the highest standard of care, which includes ensuring that all children receive the necessary vaccinations according to the recommendations of leading health authorities.
We follow the guidelines set forth by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as those endorsed by The American Academy of Pediatrics. These recommendations are based on extensive research and are continuously updated to provide the most effective protection against preventable diseases.
Colds are very common in healthy children and on average, preschool children get at least six colds per year. It is common for healthy children to have up to 12 viral illnesses per year in the first few years of life. It is also common for children to get sick from one virus shortly after getting better from a different one, so it can seem they are sick all the time. As children get older, the frequency of catching viral illnesses usually reduces.
Frequent colds, flu, fever, diarrhea, abdominal pain, sore throat, and headaches? You name it! These conditions are not only prevalent but can also cause significant discomfort and disruption to a child’s daily life.
Additionally, educating parents and caregivers on preventive measures, such as proper hand hygiene and vaccination, can help reduce the risk of these illnesses spreading and recurring. By emphasizing proactive care and providing families with the necessary tools and information, ABC Kids Pediatrics Health Care plays a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of children within the community.
Our office offers separate waiting rooms for sick and well children to help ensure that our healthy patients stay protected.
Children are naturally active and prone to accidents, so being equipped to handle minor injuries ensures they receive prompt and appropriate care when needed.
The practice likely offers assessment and treatment for a variety of minor injuries, such as cuts, bruises, sprains, foreign bodies. This may involve wound care, splinting, or referrals for further evaluation if necessary. Additionally, providing guidance on home care and follow-up instructions helps ensure proper healing and reduces the risk of complications.
By providing comprehensive services that address chronic conditions like asthma, allergies, obesity and diabetes, ABC Kids can help families navigate the challenges associated with these health issues. This may include diagnosis, treatment, education on management strategies, and regular monitoring to optimize the child’s health and quality of life.
Addressing mental and behavioral health issues in children is incredibly important, and it’s commendable that ABC Kids Pediatric Health Care pays special attention to these aspects of healthcare. Conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ASD can significantly impact a child’s well-being and development. By focusing on identifying, managing, and providing resources for these conditions, the practice can help improve the quality of life for young patients and their families.
This approach likely involves comprehensive assessments to accurately diagnose these conditions, followed by personalized treatment plans that may include therapy, medication management, and other interventions tailored to each child’s needs. Additionally, providing families with resources and support networks can empower them to better understand and navigate these challenges, ultimately fostering a more supportive environment for the child’s overall health and well-being. It’s encouraging to see a pediatric practice prioritize mental and behavioral health alongside physical health.
We offer a wide range of services, including frenulectomy (correction of tongue tie), circumcisions, dental varnish application, ear piercing, Nexplanon implantation and removal, as well as obesity evaluation and referrals.
